Southern Cross Tango is South Australia's leading Argentine Tango Dance School, directed by professional tango teachers & dancers, Andrew & Adrienne Gill. Southern Cross Tango presents regular group tango classes in the community, private tuition, beautiful social tango dancing events, and spectacular tango floorshows. 2015 Beginner Tango Classes are held on Mondays 7-8pm at Unley RSL (Arthur St, Unley), & on Thursdays 7-8pm, followed by social dancing at Thebarton Community Centre (South Rd, Torrensville). Intermediate & Advanced Classes are held on Wednesdays 7-9pm at Thebarton Community Centre. Private Tuition for couples/weddings also available. Learning to dance Argentine Tango can be a life changing experience, with health and social benefits that reach far beyond the dance floor. It builds fitness and muscle strength, improving your balance, posture and motor skills. It challenges your brain, mixing tradition and creative innovation. Dedicated tango teachers and pioneers Adrienne and Andrew Gill have been teaching classes in the community since 1999. With an international reputation as elegant and powerful stage and social tango dancers, Adrienne and Andrew enjoy sharing their passion for tango as it is danced in the neighborhood milongas of Argentina and around the world. The coupleâ??s teaching style is encouraging and empowering. From the first lesson you will be up and really dancing Tango. Social tango dancing is hugely popular, with dancers attending Southern Cross Tango's regular events - Tango by the Sea Milonga on the 2nd Sunday of the month, 4-8pm at Henley Sailing Club West Beach, and La Calesita Milonga on the 4th Saturday of the month, 8-11pm at QuickSteps Studio, Adelaide.
