Modbury West School

Education Perth introduces Modbury West School in Modbury, for all your education and learning needs.

Modbury West is a Reception to Year 7 school that caters for an enrolment of approximately 350 students. Our students are enthusiastic learners who support and care for each other. We take pride in working with and supporting all of our students to learn the academic, emotional, social and behavioural skills to be able to leave us with the capabilities to succeed in future schooling and life beyond school.

The school curriculum we offer sits within the broad context of the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability Framework (SACSA). We are currently transitioning into the new Australian Curriculum.

As well as offering outstanding Music, PE and IT programs with specialist teachers, our students have the opportunity to participate in a full range of extra curricular activities including junior and senior choir, netball, soccer, basketball, instrumental music (woodwind and guitar), recycling, and a variety of academic competitions.

Modbury West has extensive and beautifully maintained grounds that are highly valued by the school community. Features include native gardens, a Japanese garden, planting beds for student gardening, oval, junior primary playground, adventure playground for older children, shaded sandpit, and netball and basketball courts. Our teaching and learning spaces have been recently renovated and all have interactive whiteboards. Our new Resource Centre includes a computer room and research area.
