Kyneton Primary School, a medium sized school of approximately 280 students, is situated in the town of Kyneton 90 kilometres north west of Melbourne. Established in 1856, the school is an integral part of the town which is predicted to grow from 5000 to 10000 people within the next ten years. The school is on a site adjacent to the main street and comprises the original bluestone buildings and the newer buildings completed in 1986. Classrooms and specialist areas are housed within the modern two storey building. The well maintained grounds offer garden areas, a playing field, sports courts and play equipment
