The town centre was pretty and lots of shopping and food options. The river is beautiful and the walking track along it was delightful. Really enjoyed the Old Gaol and Westernplain Zoo was fantastic (would recommend the Safari tour). Stayed in the local caravan park and the downside to this was that our cabin was right on the highway which meant intrusive traffic noise (bring your earplugs!). The upside was it was economical and the staff and facilities was excellent - even spotted a Superb Fairy Wren which was wonderful. There was also a great hamburger joint nearby which had lots of options. Overall a nice place to visit.

We liked Dubbo - nice place, with friendly people. We were surprised by how big it was and the large range of shops, including Coles and Woolies. Plenty of restaurants and places to have a drink. We were only there a couple of days to go to the zoo - but we'd certainly go to Dubbo again.

The zoo was fantastic! Make sure you hire a buggy- it made the visit SO fun! We were pleasantly surprised by the food in Dubbo. Pub food was brilliant, and the Indian Restobar was AMAZING!! We wished we could pick it up and move it to Sydney! Best Indian food we’ve ever had. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dubbo has a lot to offer a family holiday away from the coast and the Western Plains Zoo is a must, but then you can also enjoy movies, bowling, escape rooms, paintball and indoor sporting games and giant trampolines. Great food and drink options such as Devils Brewery, Lazy River Estate, The Shire and Rose Garen Thai. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the coast enjoy the walk around the river, a day trip over to the Wellington caves and much more!

There was lots to do but we didn’t have much time unfortunately. We went out to see the Royal Flying Doctor Service. It was truly fantastic. We needed much more time that we did t have but we are going back another time soon to see everything. I had a bad leg & they even got me a wheelchair & pushed me around whilst telling us all about the Centre. The Cafe was lovely as well!!

I was surprised how big it was. We were only there for one night and is definitely on the bucket list to return. So many more shops and things to do. We are from Tamworth and there were greater shopping opportunities there. We went to the zoo and ate dinner at the bistro RSL - the food was superb, drinks were not too expensive and 9 flavours of gelato to choose from.

What a wonderful place - beautiful luxury tents that are exceptionally clean and well furnished/stocked. The resort was lovely - clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Peaceful yet just 5 mins drive from everything in Dubbo. We stayed at the zoo one night but our 4 nights at Rhino Lodge totally trumped that. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Deluxe King Suite. Room was very clean, comfy beds. The location is also excellent, close to Macquarie St and many fastfood places along Cobra St. Just a short stroll to the city area. The Dubbo Zoo (about 4 kms from the motel) can be reached easily by bike or car.

I’was amazed by the kindness of the staff &very good value for the money perfect location I can see myself &my family going there again to stay &I will recommend to my friends when they go out to Dubbo or need to stay the nyt or 2 that’s the best place Garden Hotel 😃

The beds are very comfortable and the location is perfect for us as my daughter is working at the western plains Zoo we have stayed here over 10 times now sometimes 2weeks at a time it’s one of our favourites in Dubbo , the new management is improving the facilities all the time.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this motel with its spacious rooms and great facilities. Excellent value for money and would certainly stay there again if travelling through Dubbo. Great café ('The Butcher's Wife') just across the road.

Clean & spacious room with all the amenities for a longer stay (ie washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc). Undercover parking provided at cost and a short walk into the main drag for food, drink & entertainment. Short drive to Dubbo Zoo.

The motel is in a great location. Currently there are a lot of roadworks but the Motel is very quiet. Lots of parking. I will use this motel again and will reccommend it to my friends who may go to Dubbo

The location was beautiful. It was family friendly and quiet. Conveniently located near zoo. Very spacious and comfortable. I would return again. Well worth the money.

Breakfast was great and at a fair price. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet at night. The hotel was in a good location close to other facilities.

Nice clean two bedroom cabin with everything we needed for our Dubbo stay. Comfortable bed, kitchen with stovetop, and an easy drive to the Western Plains zoo.

Love the spacious rooms with living room and fully equipped kitchen.. was awesome to go back to and relax.after a long day at the zoo and have a little swim.

Great central location, clean, nice room and good facilities. We even stayed an extra night on short notice in the same room. Close to shops and Dubbo Zoo.

Great facilities. Bike track to zoo is really fun. Beds were really comfy. Bedrooms were spacious. Great family spot.

staff were very lovely. location to Dubbo Zoo, pub next door, shops in Main Street not far away.
