Education Perth introduces Freshwater Primary School in Claremont, for all your education and learning needs.

Freshwater Bay Primary School is situated centrally in the suburb of Claremont at the mid-point of road and rail links between Perth and Fremantle.

After the formal decision to amalgamate the two schools in 2010, Freshwater Bay Primary School came into operation at the beginning of 2011. Because of the amalgamation it is an exciting time at Freshwater Bay Primary School as we fashion a new future from an established past. The process of amalgamating two schools (East Claremont and Claremont Primary Schools) into a vibrant, contemporary learning community has presented many opportunities for excellence.

At present Freshwater Bay Primary School is being extensively refurbished and new buildings are nearing completion. While the building project is underway the students are located at the former East Claremont school site. It is anticipated that in the 2012 school year students will have access to a new library, new specialist science/art and music facilities, new purpose built early childhood classrooms and enjoy a completely renovated and refurbished school. This includes state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and landscaped surroundings.

From 2012 Freshwater Bay Primary School will cater on-site for students from kindergarten through to year seven. Staff members are experienced, well-qualified and have professional attitudes which show dedication to the well-being of students. All staff work together as a professional team to provide a rich education for all students.

Student attitudes towards school life and their learning obligations are strongly positive reflecting the values of their families and the wider community in which they live. Activities include regular participation in a wide range of sports at a school and inter-school level, cultural and academic extension, French, and mentoring by members of the School Volunteer Program. The school provides for specialist programs in Music, Art, and French. The children are able to access an Instrumental Music Program from Years 3 to 7. Instruments include violin and cello.
